The complimentary online education is made available in part because of the Joseph L. Weir Trust. The Trust was established in 1984 by the estate of Joseph Weir for charitable and education purposes. Joseph’s record of industry involvement was remarkable. Joseph joined the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association in 1947, became active on the Board of Directors in 1954, served as president of the board for three terms and received honorary lifetime membership in 1974. Joseph also led in the development of the cosmetology school accrediting system still in use today.
