A Letter from the Salon / Spa Leadership
TSA members have more opportunities than ever to become involved PBA members! The leadership team is actively pursuing activities to get more members involved and educated.
TSA is proud to introduce salon track classes within PBA's Center for Business Education. These classes are held in an intimate setting, with no more than 25 people per class. Topics are focused on the needs of TSA members and their staffs. The facilitators are fellow TSA members who have strong skills in the topic area. Classes will be offered in Fall 2006 and Spring 2007, and topics will change with the needs of our members!
The first CBE salon track class will be hosted in the PBA headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona from October 15-16, 2006. Join Eveline Charles, TSA Leadership Council member, and her management team for our first class, Learn to Build a Salon Empire. You can register for the class by contacting Melissa in the PBA office at 800-468-2274 x128. Learn more on page 3.
We're also excited about our increasing government affairs activity. With the recent hiring of Sam Leyvas, Director of Government Affairs, we're on track to further the advocacy efforts of TSA. Please take a few moments to read through Sam's advocacy update in this newsletter on page 2, and contact him if you would like to become involved in our Government Affairs program.
Finally, the Symposium committee has put on their game face to put together a spectacular program for Symposium 11. With a theme of "Get in the Game", the committee has a full gameplan for a great experience. Make plans now to join us in San Antonio, January 20-23, 2007!
