Advisory Council Voting is Now Open!

Each year, PBA Members have the opportunity to elect two (2) members to their Advisory Council to represent their membership section.

There are six representatives on each Advisory Council and terms are for three years. Two of these representatives' terms will expire on August 31, 2021. The newly elected representatives will join their Council to represent the members-at-large of their membership section.

As set forth in the bylaws, each Advisory Council establishes a nominating committee to develop a slate of candidates for your consideration. Members were notified of the opportunity to be considered as an Advisory Council candidate via the PBA website, social media and email communications. The Nominating Committee considered each applicant's experience and skill set and is confident the final candidates are highly qualified to be part of your Advisory Council.

The deadline to vote is May 31, 2021. Learn more about your 2021 candidates below.

Cosmetologist – Rochester, NY
PBA Member Since 2018

Jordan was a single mother when she started out in this industry with the simple goal of finding a way to pay her bills. However, the first client that sat down in her chair changed Jordan's path and passion in this industry, by opening her eyes to racial inequality in the salon world. Jordan is now a multiple salon owner, business consultant, and national educator for curls and business. Her passion is to help change this industry by building awareness to create inclusion and wealth distribution. She believes the end to implicit bias starts with education.

In 2017 Jordan shared the stage with the PBA at a local hair show and at that moment realized how powerful the group was. The PBA stood up for our industry when we needed it most and continues to do so. Together, we can do great things.

Cosmetologist – Moscow, PA
PBA Member Since 1991

In 1991, we established our family-owned salon in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Today in 2021, we are more committed than ever to serving our wonderful guests and community during the pandemic. To feed my passion for education, I became an educator. This amazing path has allowed me to connect with salons and stylists across the United States and globally in sharing my knowledge of the beauty industry. We are a strong, talented community of artists that offer our guests something no one else can create, beauty that empowers our guests to be confident, strong, and gorgeous! The PBA has always provided a strong foundation in my salon and professional career, it would be an honor to be part of the PBA Advisory Council.

Steven is a firm believer that volunteering is the best way to give back to the industry that has given him so much. As a licensed cosmetologist, Steven has consistently volunteered for PBA and NCA throughout his entire career, starting out as a competitor which quickly led him into education. He became the director of education for PBA / NCA of Kentucky and on to become Hair America National Educator. There Steven was given the opportunity to co-create two trend haircutting and color collections that were taught around the country. Steven has been very active with PBA through membership, government advocacy, and events. Steven would appreciate your vote during these difficult times for licensed professionals so he can continue to help unite, elevate, and serve our industry.
