Scholarship Opportunities

Winning applicants will be notified by January 1, 2026

Five (5) – $500 scholarships will be awarded to students currently enrolled in school (5) and active licensed professionals (5). Winners will be chosen and notified by email. Scholarship funds awarded must be used within six months of being awarded.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:

• Milady RISE Certified in Client Well-Being & Safety (students at Milady RISE Partner schools get free access)
• Currently enrolled in school (and in good standing) OR a licensed professional currently working as a beauty/wellness professional in Cosmetology, Nail Tech, Barbering, Esthetics, or Massage.
• Must complete the application in its entirety.

All scholarships are funded by Milady and administered by the Professional Beauty Association Foundation. Applications will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the PBA Chair. All scholarship awards are final.

Six (6) scholarships valued at $500 will be awarded.

Scholarships will be awarded to current PBA Licensed Professional and Student Members to use towards continuing education or cosmetology school.

Six (6) scholarship recipients will be chosen and notified by email. All scholarships are funded by The Joseph L Weir Trust and administered by the PBA Charities. Applications will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the PBA Chair. All scholarship awards are final. Scholarship funds awarded must be used in 2025.

PBA honors the legacy of Joseph L. Weir through educational scholarships. These scholarships celebrate the spirit of commitment to the association, which has been demonstrated by Joseph L. Weir through fostering the advancement and education of individual members.

The PBA Joseph L. Weir Scholarship is made available because of the Joseph L. Weir Trust.

Total Award: $20,000 in scholarships managed by PBA Charities

Scholarship Amounts & Deadlines:

• Five (5) $2,000 scholarships – Apply by April 30, 2026

• Five (5) $2,000 scholarships – Apply by October 31, 2026

Eligibility:

• Must be 18 or older and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident

• Enrolled in an accredited cosmetology or hairstyling program leading to licensure

• Henkel employees and their children are not eligible

Application:
Submit the online application in full at www.probeauty.org/scholarships by the stated deadlines.

Selection & Disbursement:
Recipients are chosen by PBA Charities and licensed professional judges. Funds are typically paid directly to the school within 60 days of receiving all required documentation.

All awards are in USD and subject to federal and state laws. Recipients are responsible for any taxes. By applying, you agree to allow PBA/Schwarzkopf to use your name, photo, and story for promotional purposes.
