Advisory Council Voting is Now Open

Each year, PBA Salon/Spa Members can elect two (2) members to the Advisory Council.

Each Advisory Council has six representatives, and the terms are for three years. Two of these representatives’ terms will expire on August 31, 2024. The newly elected representatives will join their Council to represent the members-at-large of their membership section.

As set forth in the bylaws, the Advisory Council established a nominating committee to develop a slate of candidates for your consideration. Members were notified of the opportunity to be considered as a candidate for the Advisory Council via the PBA website, social media, and email communications. The Nominating Committee considered each applicant’s experience and skillset and is confident the final candidates are highly qualified to be part of your Advisory Council.

Read the candidate bios below and click VOTE NOW to submit your votes. Choose TWO nominees from those listed below.

PBA MEMBER SINCE 2000

PAT HELMANDOLLAR

Savvy Salon and Day Spa | Cornelius, NC

Ms Helmandollar has been in the industry since before attending cosmetology school in 1966. She has owned three salons over the years, the most recent including full spa services.  Throughout her career she has worked for one franchise company and one privately owned chain of salons.  Between those two periods, she worked as a platform artist and educator for Zotos International during the perm boom.  Travelling all over the world exposed her to the best of the best and aspired to become one of them. The Zotos Creative Design team was the ultimate at the time and has not been equaled since.  The timing was perfect.

Finally, her biggest attribute is empathy and seeing the other side of any given situation.  She enjoys, more than most anything, helping other people. She finds it gratifying to assist with and witness the development and growth of everyone she can become involved with.
