- With support from its partners and members, PBA donated tools and supplies worth more than $100k to create Beauty Relief Kits.
- The kits contain essential items for licensed professionals to get back to serving their clients following the devastating wildfires.
February 13, 2025 (Scottsdale, AZ) – The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) distributed essential tools and supplies totaling more than $100k to help beauty professionals rebuild their livelihoods and resume their work.
“When I got home, I just started crying. What PBA and its partners are doing for the community is a blessing,” said Jennifer Jackson, a hairstylist who received a kit. “Losing my kit in the fires was so hard because it took me years to build and it was expensive. Now, I can go back to work.”
SOS Beauty hosted the distribution event to help nearly 100 licensed beauty professionals at its Beverly Hills offices on Feb. 3, 2025. Those impacted had the opportunity to select items such as hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, clippers, brushes, color supplies and other professional tools to help get them back in business.
“You absolutely can’t imagine the pure joy you brought today to so many. I’ve been through many times in my life where many people were so kind and generous under many different circumstances, but I have never been treated the way you guys treated us,” said Marice Egan, a Palisades hairstylist. “Honestly we will never forget it. Thank you again for your hard work and kindness.”
“These kits are a crucial part of our ongoing efforts to assist those affected by this crisis. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support from our members, partners, and sponsors, whose contributions have made this relief effort possible,” said Leslie Perry, Executive Director of PBA. “The beauty industry has always been resilient, and its strength truly shines when we come together to help one another in times of need.”
Stylists who were unable to pick up a Beauty Relief Kit on Feb. 3 will have another opportunity during the Premiere Anaheim event on Feb. 23 and 24. For more information on obtaining a kit at Premiere Anaheim, please submit a request here.
